Police in Topeka say a man died in a shooting at a motel. The shooting happened Tuesday afternoon, when officers were called around 1:45 p.m. to Travelers Inn for reports of a shooting.
Arriving officers found a man with gunshot wounds, and paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police identified the victim as James Epps Jr., 37. Police later arrested Isaiah Krainbill, 19, of Topeka, on suspicion of first-degree murder in the case.
