A man and woman are dead after a shooting in south Wichita late Thursday. Just before midnight police responded to a call from out of state, reporting a possible domestic violence incident near Mt. Vernon and Greenway.
Officers found two people with gunshot wounds inside the home. The pair have been identified as 46-year-old Tuyen Nguyen and 71-year-old Bay Le, both of Wichita. According to the WPD, a preliminary investigation indicates that Le called someone out-of-state and informed them he intended to harm his wife. Police say Le shot Nguyen and then himself.
Officers say Le was dead at the scene. Nguyen was taken to the hospital where she died.
