Two injured in northeast Wichita house fire

Emergency crews responded Sunday morning to a house fire in northeast Wichita.

The blaze was reported around 9:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of N. Lindberg, near K-96 and Greenwich.

Smoke was reported in the basement of the structure. Two people were injured, one seriously, due to smoke inhalation.

The fire was brought under control before 10 a.m. There’s no word yet on a cause or a damage estimate.
