Two men drowned early Sunday morning at Lake Afton.
The initial report came in around 1:30 a.m. Authorities were called to the east side of the lake to conduct the search, which had to be called off as thunderstorms rolled into the county a little after 2 a.m.
The effort resumed Sunday morning at 7. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office confirms to our news partners KSN that the bodies of the two men in their late 20s to early 30s were pulled from the water around 11 a.m.
The names of the victims have not been released.
