Police are investigating a shooting at a hotel in W. Wichita.
Just before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, a caller to 911 reported a shooting in a hotel room in the 5800 block of W. Kellogg Drive, west of Hoover Road & south of Kellogg, at Economy Hotel Plus+.
Police officers found a woman who'd been shot twice in the lower part of her body. She was hospitalized in critical condition; police believe the woman will survive.
She indicated she knew the man who shot her.
The preliminary investigation by police detectives suggests the shooting was drug-related.
