Voting in the Wichita area has been steady on Tuesday, Nov. 8, as residents headed to the polls to cast their ballots.
As of 10:30 a.m., after being open for more than four hours, more than 29,000 people had come out to cast their votes in person in Sedgwick County.
It's a longer ballot this year, taking people an average of about eight minutes to fill out.
The Sedgwick County Election Office says added about 200 additional positions since August for this election. However, for various reasons, the office lost abour four dozen poll workers during the last few days to illness, appointments, and other reasons.
