A man in his 70s suffered critical injuries Saturday morning in a roll-over crash in the western part of the city.
It happened around 9:45 a.m., north of the intersection of 45th St. North and Ridge Road.
Police say the vehicle was traveling south at a high rate of speed when it went into the northbound lanes, then off the road and into the grass before crashing into a tree. The vehicle then rolled over.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was unconscious and not breathing. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police are investigating if man suffered a medical incident before the crash.
