Whipple and Wu advance in Wichita mayoral race

What began as a field of nine candidates has been trimmed to just two in the race for Wichita mayor.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, Lily Wu and incumbent Mayor Brandon Whipple have advanced to the November general election.

Due to the number of candidates running for Wichita mayor, a primary election was required.
