Advance in-person voting is now underway in Sedgwick County ahead of the Aug. 4 primary election, giving voters multiple opportunities to cast their ballots before Election Day.
For the first time, early voting is available at three locations throughout the entire two-week advance voting period:
- Sedgwick County Election Office, 3639 N. Comotara St.
- Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. Second St. N.
- Sedgwick County Extension Office, 7001 W. 21st St. N.
All three sites are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 31. Additional satellite voting locations will open July 28 and operate through Aug. 1, expanding access for voters across the county.
Registered voters can cast a ballot at any advance voting location, regardless of where they live within Sedgwick County. Election officials encourage early voting to help reduce Election Day lines and provide more flexibility for residents.
Voters who requested an advance ballot by mail should begin receiving them if they haven't already. The deadline to request a mail ballot is July 28, and completed ballots must be received by the Sedgwick County Election Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Secure ballot drop boxes are also available throughout the county.
The Kansas primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 4. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for voters who choose to cast their ballots in person on Election Day.
