As of 9 a.m. Sunday, Evergy says around 175 customers in Sedgwick County remain without power thanks to last night's storms that prompted severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings.
Around 111 customers have no power in Butler County and that number is down to 44 in Harvey and 53 in Cowley County. At the height of the storm, over eight thousand customers were without power in and around Wichita. Evergy says the estimated restoration times are unavailable due to storm damage around the area.
Wind gusts in the Metro included 71 mph at Eisenhower National Airport, 70 mph in Kingman, 66 mph in Hutchinson, 65 mph near Norwich and 62 mph at both Jabara Airport and in Conway Springs.
Immediately after the storm, there were numerous reports of power lines and large tree limbs downed by the storm across the city.
There wasn't much hail reported from the line of storms but some quarter size hail was reported in Park City and also 6 miles east-northeast of the town of Sedgwick, where hail covered the ground.
