Wichita Board of Education approves school lunch price increase

The cost of lunch is going up for students at Wichita Public Schools in the fall. The Board of Education approved a $0.25 price hike at thier meeting Monday afternoon.

That means the cost for elementary school meals will now be $2.60.  Middle school $2.75, and $2.90 for the High School,

District leaders say the cost increase is needed to offset the rising cost of food production.
