At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will discuss spending money for neighborhood cleanups. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the idea is to remove illegally dumped larger items such as mattresses and box springs from targeted areas, south Broadway, Hilltop, and Plainview.
The council will also discuss spending money for rehabilitating housing. Mayor Wu says the City wants to help provide affordable housing.
Tuesday's meeting is one of four evening meetings scheduled for this year, to start at 6 pm.
Mayor Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
