The Wichita City Council will discuss aerial fireworks at their Tuesday meeting.
The council will vote on whether to permit aerial fireworks in the city between July 1 - 4. Right now, Wichitans can legally shoot fireworks that reach a height of just 6 feet or less.
The council will also discuss a $401 thousand project to add RFID tags to over 1 million city library materials. The project would also add RFID readers and additional self-check units for branch locations.
The latest report concerning the city's police and fire retirement fund, and a quarterly financial report, will be presented to council members as well.
