One of the highlights includes a vote on improvements to Wichita's Century II. If approved, the city would authorize over $18 million in improvements over the next 10 years. It would start in 2023 with three significant projects, including rehabilitation of the blue dome roof, along with upgrades to the fire alarm and air conditioning systems. The work in 2023 alone would cost nearly $10 million.
The council could approve a contract to fund a violence interrupter program, in an effort to curb violent crime in the city.
The council will also vote on an expansion project to the Westlink Branch Library.
