No charges will be filed against a Wichita Police Officer who shot and killed a man in 2023.
Daniel Stowe, 50, was killed when officers were called to a neighborhood near Kellogg and Oliver.
Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett says the suspect raised his gun and pointed it at an officer, prompting another officer to fire.
Bennett says the investigation showed the man sent texts saying that he planned to do something to cause officers to shoot him, and end his life.
