A man who allegedly raped a girl, 13, at a motel on S. Broadway on Tuesday made his first court appearance Friday.
Lorenzo Gary, 37, was charged with 5-counts, including two counts of rape of a child under the age of 14 and one count of aggravated indecent liberties.
A phone tip led officers to the motel in the 2300 block of south Broadway were Gary was found with the young girl.
Bond for Gary was set at $300,000. His next court date was set for Feb. 6.
