A Wichita man has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and car chase. It began around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning after a woman, 49, called 911, saying she had been taken against her will.

Police were able to locate the man's truck, traveling eastbound on K-96, but the man refused to stop.

With around 12 police cars involved in the case, officers made several attempts to stop the truck.  It was finally forced off the road and into a ditch at South 391st Street West and Kellogg, just north of Cheney.

The driver, identified as Robert Cook, 59, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping and other charges.
