Wichita Police arrested a 27-year-old Wichita man on two counts of child abuse.
Early Friday morning, officers received a report of a child abuse at a local hospital. The victim had suffered abusive injuries and was admitted.
A sibling twin of the child, who also lived in the home, was taken into Police protective custody and transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Doctors determined this child also had abusive injuries.
Interviews of the involved parties were conducted at the Exploited and Missing Children Unit. A suspect was identified and arrested for two counts of child abuse.
This case will be presented to the District Attorney's office. The identification of suspects will not be made until formal charges are filed.
