FOP members ratified the agreement on December 2. Some of the highlights in the first year include a 4 percent pay raise effective on Christmas Day for commissioned employees and crime scene investigators. Other increases will follow in 2023 and 2024, including a $1,000 retention bonus.

Juneteenth will become a paid holiday. The agreement eliminates a $100 fitness bonus.

The city council will vote on formal approval of the contract next Tuesday, giving the public a full week to look over the agreement.
