An administrative secretary for the Wichita Police Department has been charged with leaking information.
Mia Turner has been charged with 1 felony count of unlawful use of a computer following an investigation into the unauthorized release of classified information related to a criminal case this past January.
Turner has been with the WPD for 14 years in a nonsworn administrative role. She is on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal case.
Turner also served on the Wichita School Board after being appointed in March of '21. She lost the election to Kathy Bond in November.
