Police responded to the report of a suspicious device in south Wichita Saturday night.
Just after 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of S. Greenwood and E. Indianapolis.
Arriving officers found a suspicious item in a bag on the street, but were unable to determine if it was indeed dangerous.
WPD's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit was called out and determined there was no concern for safety.
The incident comes after two men suffered serious injuries Friday afternoon after handling undetonated fireworks.
