Wichita Police are warning citizens about a scam.
Public Information Officer Chad Ditch says someone is calling and telling people that they have kidnapped a loved one and that the person needs to pay a ransom in order to get their loved one back safely.
Ditch says if receive a similar call, please verify that your loved ones are OK. Do not pay anything over the phone or provide any sensitive information. If you are unable to reach your loved one please call 911. However, if you find this to be a scam, please block the number that called you.

Police have reported this fake page to Tik Tok and are trying to determine who created it. They hope to have it taken down in the very near future.
