The Wichita Police Department responded to a shooting on Sunday around 5:20 a.m. in the 700 block of N. Parkridge.
Police say a man stated on the phone he may have killed his wife after an argument.
When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man and took him into custody. Inside the home, a 44-year-old woman was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
According to police, the man who was taken into custody became unresponsive. Sedgwick County EMS was notified, and medical aid was rendered, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
