A 23-year-old Wichita man is dead and two others injured, after a shooting at an east Wichita nightclub.
It happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the Onyx nightclub, located in the 10000 block of E. Kellogg. Police officers were monitoring the business when they heard multiple gunshots. Officers responded and found the victim, Jaylon Pete in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
Two other Wichita men, a 24-year-old and 26-year-old, were struck by gunfire as well. They were transported to local hospitals for their serious, but non-life- threatening injuries.
Police say it appears a disturbance took place inside the business prior to the shooting. A suspect has not been located.
