At approximately 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 1800 block of North Piatt.
Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male and an 18-year-old male who had both been shot. They were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officers also located shell casings on the scene. While investigating at the home, a 20-year-old female arrived at an area hospital who had been shot. This was not a random incident, as individuals involved are known to each other.
Officers located Garza-Cabral in a vehicle in the 600 block of West 11th street. He was arrested without further incident. Inside the vehicle, officers located an open container of alcohol, a handgun, and illegal drugs.
