Wichita Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that injured an 11-year-old boy.
Just after 12:30 a.m., officers were near the 1400 block of N. Lorraine when they heard gunfire. A church building, which was occupied by four people at the time, was struck by the gunfire but no injuries were reported there.
However, a nearby residence was also struck. An 11-year-old boy inside the home sustained a non-life-threatening injury to the head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
