
Wichita State men’s basketball wins its’ first-ever American Athletic Conference title following an 80-63 victory against South Florida.
Tyson Etienne led the team with 21 points as Wichita State also extended its winning streak to seven games.
The AAC’s preseason poll had the Shockers picked to finish seventh under then-interim head coach Isaac Brown. Brown was elevated to head coach and had the interim tag lifted on February 26.
Wichita State will be the #1 seed in next week's the AAC Tournament in Ft. Worth. The Shockers will play Friday morning at 11 against the winner of the Temple/South Florida game.
