
Wichita water and sewer customers will see a 6.14% increase in their monthly bill, starting in 2025.
Record inflation, operational changes and other challenges led to the rate increase. While Wichitans will have to pay more, it's still less than other cities in the I-35 corridor.
A residential customer who uses up to 3,750 gallons of water a month will see a $3.21 increase in their monthly bill. Customers using up to 7500 gallons of water a month will see a $4.79 increase.

In other news, the council also approved using $5 million in ARPA funding to get the Multi-agency Center project going.
The former Park Elementary school, located at 1025 N. Main in the city's Mid-town area, is the site of the emergency winter shelter which just opened last Friday. It will also be home to the future MAC, a one-stop center that will connect homeless individuals to community resources.
