Some residents in the area of 29th and Grove in north Wichita say they are still being ignored regarding contamination from a decades-old chemical spill.
On Saturday, Union Pacific Railroad and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment held an open house to talk about cleanup efforts.
With higher than normal levels of cancer being reported in the contamination zone, some residents say officials need to get more people to attend updates.
The meeting Saturday included updates on possible contamination of private water wells and indoor air testing efforts to check for toxic vapors in homes.
