The Central Plains school board voted Monday to close the Junior/Senior High School in Wilson. According to the resolution, the reasons include the financial condition of the district, the district's need to reduce expenses, and the district's need to be more efficient, which can be done by closing a building.
Beginning the next school year, students will be bussed to Claflin. Students will also have the option to apply outside the district. However, the district doesn't have a plan in place for current school employees.
