Road conditions are slowly improving throughout the Wichita area. But, drivers are still advised to be mindful of the slick road conditions.
Around two dozen accidents were recorded during the snow storm Thursday morning, including a pair of overturned semi's, a driver running into a Kansas State Trooper, and another accident involved a driver sliding into an ambulance.
Trooper's caution drivers that re freezing occurs overnight, and motorists need to stay aware of winter driving conditions. Because the road conditions are not expected to improve for some time, drivers should give themselves plenty of distance from other vehicles.
Should you get into an accident on the highway, they advise not to get out of your vehicle. Call and wait for help.
