Update: The Wichita Police Department said that a man suspected of shooting and killing a woman outside Wesley Medical Center on Monday has been found dead inside an apartment building in west Wichita.

A woman has died after she was shot near Wesley Medical Center. It happened around 7:15 p.m. Monday night in the 500 block of N. Hillside, near Central.
Officers arrived and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body and hand. She was rushed into surgery, but later died from her injury.
Police believe the woman was driving a vehicle while having an argument with a man who was a passenger. She stopped near Wesley Medical Center, and got out the vehicle in an attempt to get away. The suspect, still seated inside the vehicle, began to fire at the woman, striking her and causing her to collapse in the middle of the intersection.
Wichita police have identified Robert Schoenberger as a person of interest in Monday's deadly shooting outside Wesley Medical Center.
