Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg arrived in East Palestine, Ohio on Thursday nearly three weeks after the toxic train derailment.
Buttigieg was swarmed by reporters asking: why did it take you so long to get here?
Buttigieg's press secretary stepped in to play defense and attempted to shut the reporters.
Buttigieg was also asked if he would be resigning or apologizing for failing to meet the moment and not prioritizing the residents of East Palestine.
