Chick-fil-A knows it has a spot in your dining room, but now it wants to be in your living room.
The fast-food chicken sandwich chain is launching a new entertainment app that features "free digital fun" and "kid-friendly content," including original shows and podcasts.
The app, called Chick-fil-A Play, is meant as a new way for families "to have fun, connect and spend time together," and will be "loaded with a wide variety of content and original entertainment," the company said in an announcement.
"Launching November 18, the Chick-fil-A Play App will offer families the ultimate digital 'playground' featuring fun and unique content made to be shared both within the app and in-person, encouraging families to make the most of the moments they have with each other," the announcement said.
According to the company, the app will include:
• Original Animated Shows -- featuring adventures with the Chick-fil-A Cows
• Original Scripted Podcasts -- all kid-friendly
• Games, Jokes and Conversation Starters
• Video-Based Recipes and Kid-Friendly Crafts
• E-books and Interactive Stories
"Hospitality and fun have always been at the core of the Chick-fil-A family experience, whether inside our Restaurants and play areas, or through our Kids Meals," Dustin Britt, executive director of brand strategy, said in a statement. "The Chick-fil-A Play App is a digital extension of that experience and another way we're reimagining 'Play' for our Guests, in a unique way through entertainment that really encourages time together."
The app will be available to download for free.
