Here's what the total eclipse will look like in each U.S. state

Though we all have differences, there’s one commonality that has prevailed for all of humanity: we are all floating on a rock, flying through outer space at over a million miles an hour.

Thanks to the rapid advancement of technology in the past century, we can observe much more of the universe than we ever thought possible.

The scale and sheer size of the universe make it impossible to truly learn everything, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.

the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

We are only days away from the most anticipated celestial event of the year: the 2024 total solar eclipse on April 8th.

This eclipse is going to be breathtaking, with an expected totality duration of 4 minutes and 27 seconds. That's nearly twice as long as the total eclipse of 2017.

This eclipse is especially exciting for those in the United States since the path of totality slices right through the country, passing over many densely populated cities.

It will be the first total eclipse to be seen in Canada since 1979, the first in Mexico since 1991, and the last in the U.S. until 2044.

With all the hype and anticipation, you might wonder: what will the eclipse look like where I live? Swipe through the images above to find out what you can expect to see in the sky on April 8th in each U.S. state!
