Trump calls for Biden to take a pre-debate drug test, says he’d do it too

Former President Donald Trump is continuing to push his claims that President Joe Biden will be “all jacked up” for their debate, suggesting that the two men should both submit to drug tests before squaring off.

“DRUG TEST FOR CROOKED JOE BIDEN??? I WOULD, ALSO, IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO ONE!!!” Trump wrote Monday on Truth Social.

During his rally over the weekend in Philadelphia, Trump suggested that Biden would get a “shot in the a–” before going out on stage. This claim has been repeated regularly by him and his allies, who continue to take shots at Biden’s health and cognitive abilities.

In a separate post on Truth Social, Trump went on to applaud Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) for sending a letter to Biden and his physician, demanding a drug test be taken immediately before and after the debate.

“Ronny Jackson was a brilliant Doctor, Admiral and now, a GREAT Congressman,” Trump wrote. “He happens to be totally right about what is written in this MUST READ Article but, unfortunately, nothing will be done about it!”

Trump, 78, and Biden, 81, are set to take the stage on Thursday night in a debate hosted by CNN. It will be the first time either man steps on a debate stage since they last squared off in 2020.

Some were hoping that the stage might house three candidates, but independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was unable to meet the debate requirements to earn a spot.

Both presumptive candidates are looking to show that they are the better man for the job and a second term, as both face criticism over their ages, temperament, and overall health concerns.

Despite Trump and his team often pointing out Biden’s age, the president’s campaign has been quick to jump on the verbal slips and confusing rants from the former president.

Some of the highlighted remarks include when he called the fictional cannibal and serial killer Hannibal Lecter a “wonderful man” and when he messed up the name of Rep. Jackson while calling for a cognitive test.

Biden’s team has not responded to the drug test challenge.
