(610 Sports) -- If you've paid attention to our conversations with Whit Merrifield at all, then you probably have a good idea of Brady Singer's personality and the dynamic between the two. So it should come as no surprise, just how much joy that Whit took in telling us the story of Singer's engagement photo session that went horribly wrong.
Joining Cody & Gold from a golf course in Tampa Bay, Fl for The Whit Merrifield Show on 610 Sports KC, Merrifield took great delight in telling the story of SInger's engagement photo mishap that left the Royals pitcher looking for a change of clothes.
Merrifield sets the story up by referencing the recent photos of Singer proposing to his now fiancé that were posted to the Kansas City Royals Twitter account, which show Singer both on his knee proposing and the two celebrating in the rain, which may not have been the original idea for the engagement photos and here's why.
"He proposes to his girlfriend, now fiancé, takes photos inside and now they're going outside to take pictures," says Merrifield. "Obviously it's raining pretty hard and as they're going to set up to take pictures, he slips and falls into the pool at Big Cedar Lodge. Phone in his pocket, wallet in his pocket, tries to get out, sits on the ledge, slips and falls further into the pool. He's just kind of sitting there in his nice clothes, looking at the photographer. This is only gonna happen to him, there's no one else that this is going to happen to."
According to Merrifield, he's got some good friends over at Big Cedar Lodge and he's trying to pull all the strings to get ahold of some video evidence of Singer's mishap, so we should all feel good knowing that Whit won't let this be forgotten, anytime soon.
