Twitter announced it will be launching a new feature that can allow its users to temporarily block "unwelcome tweets."
The feature, called Safety Mode, lets Twitter users block an account for a week for "using harmful language or sending uninvited replies", according to Reuters.
When the feature is turned on, Twitter said its systems will "assess the likelihood of a negative engagement by considering both the Tweet's content and the relationship between the Tweet author and replier."

Those who are autoblocked will not be able to "follow your account, see your tweets, or send you a message. "
The company said they're currently testing the new feature with a small group of people before bringing it out to the public.
