Quest confirmed a terrible data leak a few hours ago Monday morning.
They admit losing control of social security numbers, personal information and financial data belonging to 11.9 million Quest customers.
This ID theft expert says medical records are the goldmine for thieves.
Adam Levin, with Cyberscout, deals with ID theft disasters and says "people are still, I bet you, at how at risk they really are. If you look at this on a scale of 1 to 10, it should be the equivalent of a full body wince."
He tells KNX any Quest customer should be on alert right now for a phishing attack.
If the link's not really from Quest, and you give up information, the thieves have you.
Quest says it's just your financial information that was potentially leaked.
