An earthquake rattled near Pacoima Thursday morning. Are you prepared for the big one?
Thursday's quake was given a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 struck the San Fernando Valley Thursday around 4:29 a.m. this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
If an earthquake happens in your area, follow the below steps.
- Drop, Cover, then Hold On!
- If in a vehicle, pull over and stop.
- If in bed, stay there.
- If outdoors, stay outdoors.
- Do not get in a doorway.
- Do not run outside.
