A man seen on cell phone video punching two women during a dispute over a downtown Los Angeles hot dog vendor has pleaded guilty to battery charges.

The violence took place in January on a sidewalk near 6th and Spring streets.

A crowd gathered as both women were knocked to the ground, but no one intervened or even offered to help.

Arka Sangbarani Oroojian was upset over the price of hot dogs. He will now serve 30 days in county jail,  30 days of community service, and be monitored on probation for three years.

The video surfaced in January. He later pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of battery.

The Sylmar man was seen on cell phone video knocking the women out and then running from the scene. He says the video only shows half the story.

Oroojian turned himself in earlier this year. He turned himself into police at LAPD Central Station and was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, according to the LAPD on Twitter.

.@CityAttorneyLA says this man's been sentenced 1 mo in jail, 1 mo community labor, anger management classes & 3 yrs summary probation. He's accepted liability for the women's injuries and agreed to pay restitution. He also has to write apology letters to them. @KNX1070 https://t.co/3Z0yRzniwL
