
"Please help us provide a permanent home for Chris here at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. He deserves to have a dignified funeral and a grave in the land to which he truly belongs," Dennis' GoFundMe page reads.
According to the page, Dennis had been homeless for the last three years and suffering from mental and substance issues.

He was featured numerous times on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," appeared on the cover of a 2011 Hollywood Reporter, and was featured in the 2007 documentary "Confessions of a Superhero."
The Super Museum in Metropolis, Illinois paid homage to Dennis with a heartfelt post on its Facebook page.
"We've known Chris for many years. Many years ago he married the love of his life here in Metropolis in front of the Superman statue. He spent time with our family and showed lots of support for our museum and the Superman Celebration. Chris had a love for Superman, and an uncanny resemblance to Christopher Reeve," the Super Museum in Metropolis, Illinois wrote on its Facebook page.
