Sheriff Villanueva announces the end of curfews in Los Angeles County.
"Based upon current situational awareness and the recent pattern of peaceful actions by protesters, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will no longer enforce a curfew. Other jurisdictions are free to make their own decisions," Villanueva wrote in a statement.

June 4, 2020 Wednesday, LA County said in a press release "Tonight’s curfew will start later than the curfew in previous nights as the County assesses public safety needs on a daily basis." This is the fourth night of curfews in LA County.
After initial confusion due to LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva's tweeting that law enforcement would enforce the curfew beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, LA County released a statement on Twitter saying "Law enforcement departments can begin enforcing it at their discretion."

June 3, 2020 There are some closures of COVID-19 testing sites today.
“We are committed to ensuring that our testing sites are safe for both patients and staff,” said Dr. Christina Ghaly, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. “Testing remains a priority as we continue to fight the spread of coronavirus in LA County.”
Protests have been happening across LA County in response to the police killing of George Floyd who died at the hands of a white Minneapolis officer last week. Protests, anger and sadness over police injustice and brutality have spread in major cities across the country in the last week. Other cities like Beverly Hills and Santa Monica have their own curfews in place.

June 2, 2020 Los Angeles County health officials expressed their concern Monday about the risk of COVID-19 infection that protestors could face as they gather in such close proximity. The unrest around LA County has forced the closure of some sites. There is also a state of emergency declared in the county.
Meanwhile, in the city of LA only the Dodgers stadium testing site remains open.

June 1, 2020 The curfew will be from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday morning - similar to the City of LA curfew announced Monday by Eric Garcetti.
It's in response to civil disturbances from looting happening across cities in LA County and SoCal. Numerous arrests have been made across cities in the aftermath of the looting of retail and other businesses.
LA County also gave more details on other cities and their curfews Monday afternoon: The following cities have implemented stricter curfews that began earlier today:
Beverly Hills- 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Burbank- 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Culver City- 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Glendale- 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Long Beach- 1:00 p.m. (in the business district) 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (citywide)
Santa Monica- 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
West Hollywood- 4:00 p.m. and ending at sunrise

June 1, 2020 A state of emergency was declared Sunday in LA County by Supervisor Kathryn Barger. On Sunday Supervisor Janice Hahn announced the LA County curfew begins at 6 p.m. Sunday and lasts through 6 a.m. Monday.
