Simi Valley City Council member Ruth Luevanos is under fire from critics after posting a video earlier this month on Facebook.

The video, from July 13,  shows her explaining to immigrant families what their rights are in the face of the ICE raids that were going to happen in July.

The story was originally published in the Ventura County Star.

She says "Right now the US is in the business of running concentration camps. They're dehumanizing refugees, immigrants, families that are coming here they're asking them to drink out of toilets and verbally and physically harassing them and denying them basic sanitary care...This is not OK."

In the story she said she's received at least one death threat on her City Council Facebook page which was reported to the Simi Valley Police Department. "She said it stated she should be 'executed,'" the story said. Patrols have been added to monitor her house.

Critics have even created an opposing Facebook page called "Recall Ruth Luevanos."

However, she also has her supporters who say she's done nothing wrong.
