(KNX 1070) -- Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Transit Services Bureau detectives are seeking help identifying a man who exposed himself in a sexually explicit manner to a female passenger on the Metro Green Line in the City of Lynwood on December 10, at approximately 10:45 a.m.

According to Metro surveillance, the suspect appears to have boarded at the Long Beach Metro Green Line station.

The victim alleges that the suspect sat down across from her and began exposing himself while attempting to get her attention. The lewd behavior took several minutes, according to video, until the victim saw what was happening and got up to move to another train car. The suspect then exited the train at the Aviation Station.

The suspect is described as a Black male, about 25 to 30 years old, 5'5" tall, 180 pounds, with short black hair, a mustache, and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and was carrying a black or dark grey backpack with a small, white logo on it.

“People like this should not be on the streets or on our transit system.  We want to ensure that we get him identified as soon as possible,” LASD TSB handling Detective Karen Velasquez said in a statement.

LASD Detective Sergeant Ed O’Neil believes that the suspect will be identified quickly and knows that these types of crimes are indeed rare on the Metro system.
