(KNX 1070) -- A passenger says things got really scary for a while aboard a Delta Airlines jet that got hit by heavy turbulence while heading from Orange County's John Wayne Airport to Seattle.
He tells CBS-2 that one of the five people was badly injured when the plane started shaking before it wound up making an emergency landing in Reno.
Flight 5763 left from Orange County with 59 passengers and 4 crew on board, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported.
Three of the people injured had to be taken to a hospital after the plane touched down in Reno. Other passengers were later put onto another flight to finish their trips to Seattle.
