West Hollywood City Councilmember John Duran has been censured by his colleagues over public comments he made in response to allegations of sexual misconduct.
He was accused of trying to publicly shame his accusers and also suggested there should be different standards of inappropriate workplace behavior for gay men.
Duran, who resigned as Mayor last month, apologized for some of his actions.
He's denied accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior with members of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.
Duran will no longer be able to travel at the city's expense or be reimbursed for expenses for a year.
He's also been removed from the subcommittee overseeing the L.A. Pride event.
