A 89-year-old man who was reported missing after last being seen in Santa Barbara has been found, authorities said Wednesday.
Robert Pace was last seen at around 4 p.m. Monday in Montecito, according to the California High Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert for Riverside and Santa Barbara counties for him on behalf of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.
The CHP reported that Pace was found at around 1 a.m. Wednesday and the alert has been deactivated. There were no further details.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the suspicious or disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
