John Stamos opened up about his experience as a guest star on the hit '90s sitcom 'Friends,' revealing how he was left heartbroken after not receiving a single applause from the audience.

The “Full House” star, who was used to receiving consistent praise from the audience while playing the iconic role of Uncle Jesse on "Full House," spoke to Access Hollywood about the experience.

“I have not told this story,” the actor said, explaining how because the shows were filmed on the same set, he expected to get the positive reaction from people watching that he was familiar with.

"They said, 'You come in here and you hold for applause and then you take your moment and move on,'" he recalled from his time on set. "Matt Perry (Chandler) was like, 'Oh, man, they're going to be excited.”

“Full House,” which aired on ABC, was one of TV’s most successful sitcoms from 1987 to 1995. Stamos, now 57, quickly became a highly-recognized household face.

In 2003, Stamos was brought on to the set of “Friends” to play a potential sperm donor for Chandler and Monica, played by actress Courteney Cox, in “The One With the Donor” episode.

"I open the door and I walk in and ... silence. Matt just says the line, and then we move on," the actor said.

He continued, "I remember being sort of heartbroken; they were all waiting for the people to clap in the audience and they didn't," he said. "That's what I remember. It was weird, right?"

In April 2020, the "Full House" cast reunited to film a hilarious parody of the show’s opening credits that reflected what their characters are doing while housebound during the coronavirus pandemic.
