Lindsay Lohan is feeling nostalgia for one of her earliest roles.
First, there was the 34-year-old’s recent touching tribute to her deceased “The Parent Trap” co-star, Natasha Richardson. And as E online reports, the other day Lindsay returned to the classic family film favorite to share a never-before-seen, on-set photo to honor her brother Dakota on his 25th birthday.
Lindsay is seen in the Instagram post holding up her little brother in front of the iconic Big Ben tower in London -- where several scenes from the film were shot -- dressed in one of her familiar outfits from the classic 1998 movie, while on a break from filming.
Her caption captured the star’s nostalgic state. “Happy Birthday!! Love you so much Dakota! So blessed to be your big sister. Wishing you the best of best birthdays! Love you.”
And in case you didn’t get the sentiment, she also included a more recent, and far more stylishly hip shot of the siblings.
The pair’s mother, Dina Lohan, chimed in in the comments. “Dakota your [sic] are one in a million," she wrote. "Kind, humble, super talented, and you have the power to change every person who is blessed to have you as a true friend. Mere words cannot express my love for you."
Lindsay’s trip down Memory Lane started being paved almost a year ago when most of the cast of “The Parent Trap” reunited for a virtual chat to share memories of Richardson and the time they all had together making the remake. Then in October there was the “Mean Girls” Zoom reunion.
But it’s not all nostalgia for Lindsay these days. She has a holiday movie coming up for Netflix , and nothing says heartwarming like a Christmas movie. Except maybe a cute picture of you and your baby brother in front of Big Ben.
